Rude & dishonest, Capital Salvage sent me a 3.6 liter engine instead of the ordered 3.0 liter engine in early June 2021, today is September 13, 2021, 9 times they said they would come get it, and didn't.
off to a Massachusetts Small Claims Court for the cost paid fir the engine as well as damages.
For a small business trying to stay alive after a year of no business due to COVID the disrespect and financial hardship they have put my business through this terrible.
Paul, James and Daniel have done absolutely nothing but lie to me.!!!!!!

Buyer beware!!! Stay Away from these people! I ordered an engine for a 2010 Mazda to be shipped to me. They shipped the WRONG engine and their response is "can't you make it work?"! I explained to them I can't install a 3.5L engine in a car that takes a 3.7L engine, and now the engine remains on an engine stand. I was willing to send this engine back for the correct engine (that was 8 days ago) and attempted to communicate with them on a daily basis. When I call and identify myself, they immediately put me on hold and will not talk to me! Paul claims "phones are messed up, hold please", at one time he claimed he needed to speak with his boss to discuss my issue. I have called everyday for the last 4 business days and each time Paul immediately puts me on hold and never comes back to the phone (waiting up to 25 minutes). They have my contact information and if someone truly wished to resolve this issue, they could return my calls. I now have an engine sitting here I cannot use and non functional car. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE...THEY SENT THE WRONG ENGINE! Unfortunately, I used Zelle at their request, and there is no way to get my money back. Looks like the legal route to settle the $2050 I paid them! I will also contact the BBB (per the BBB site, they never respond to other previous claims). I would have given them zero stars, but that's not an option.
UPDATE-3/24 - They called and offered either exchange or full refund via Zelle. I elected full refund via Zelle. Waiting on refund.
UPDATE-3/25 - Still waiting for contact on how the engine will go back and when I will receive my refund.
UPDATE-3/27 - Paul called and said they would be here on the 29th to pick up the motor and immediately send the refund to me via Zelle.
UPDATE-3/31 - Spoke with James (GM) on Monday (3/29) and he said his truck would be here on Wednesday (3/31) to pick it up "Guaranteed". Spoke with James again on 3/30 to confirm pickup on Wed. "Yes, we'll be there and immediately refund your money via Zelle". Here it is, 6pm Wed (3/31) and no-show and no-call. 7 days since James posted " will be remedied within the next 2 days either with this replacement engine or a full refund ".
4/1 - Spoke with Paul today. He said they didn't pick it up yesterday because they had manpower issues. Now he says, "Will you be there this Saturday? We WILL be there this Saturday". I asked, "how about refunding me half now and then the other half when you get here to show that you're going to pick it up?" Paul's response "I'm not refunding anything until I get the item back". Am I being strung along??YOU MAKE THE DECISION IF YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. p.s. I did agree to remove this post IF I received a FULL refund. STILL WAITING!
